In this week’s MondayMotivator, love.
Love a fundamental part of our human nature, holds within it a transformative power that we must believe in.
While we know that the negative emotions of fear, hate, anger, and jealousy destroy our health and can set the stage for chronic disease, we also know that the positive emotions of love, kindness, humour, and faith have a powerful, uplifting effect on health.
Love has a significant effect on others and also on our relationship with them.
Love is only true love when it is in the form of giving as well as being received. When it is not shared, it only involves a kind of self-love and is very limiting.
The following phrases will help in the realisation of true love, both in giving and receiving it:
I’m sorry.
Thank you.
I forgive you.
I miss you.
I love you.
We are together.
I am wrong
Let’s start again.
It might be challenging but try to always be positive and generous with others. Have faith and love others, particularly those who are hurt or lonely. It’s so easy to be cynical, but that’s a slippery slope to being a grumpy, lonely person.
Think to yourself, “I believe in the effect of love because it has great power in healing myself and helping others. I will practise using these phrases with generosity and sincerity and maintain an optimistic outlook.”
