How to Grant Spike Access to Your Mailchimp Account
When we work together, we’ll need access to your Mailchimp account to get things done. The good news is Mailchimp makes this secure and straightforward. We connect directly through our agency account, so you never need to share your login details and we don’t take up one of your user seats.
Here’s how it works
A few things to know
- We’ll send you a connection request from our Mailchimp account before you do anything
- Granting us access does not use up a user seat on your Mailchimp plan
- You choose the level of access you give us, and you can change or remove it at any time
- Only grant access to people and agencies you trust
Five simple steps
Once we’ve sent the connection request, you’ll receive an email at the address linked to your Mailchimp account owner. Follow these steps:
Open the agency access request email
Click View Request
Log in to the Mailchimp account you want us to access
Choose the maximum level of access for Spike. Manager level is usually sufficient for most work as it allows us to create and edit emails, but does not include access to your billing information
Click Grant Access
That’s it. We’ll be notified once access is granted and can get to work.
Changing or removing access
You’re in control at all times. If you ever want to adjust our access level or remove it entirely, you can do so from within your Mailchimp account under Settings. The only time we might need Admin access is to help with database updates and handling.
Need help?
If you get stuck or the request email is hard to find, just get in touch and we’ll sort it out.
