Spending your holidays with your family, it’s how most of us like to spend it. But David Edelman didn’t quite stop working during this time. Yes, he spent time with his family, but he looked at their behaviour from a marketer’s point of view.
Mapping locates (and more). No one gives directions anymore, and maps do so much more, with layers for checking on traffic, cheap gas, food specials, and locations of opted-in family members. Maps are becoming a primary search function. Where location matters — retail, dining, travel, etc – businesses will need to think more creatively about their placement in maps and the functionality they will enable. Maps will become a source for messaging, and will increasingly have real time information highlighted, such as available rooms, empty tables, open parking.
