A look at online retailing by a serial entrepreneur

I recently came across another very refreshing Gill South interview with the ‘always to-the-point’ Stefan Preston from Ingenio, which has shareholdings in a range of different companies including bachcare.co.nz and lingerie brand, Rose & Thorne Design.

Having gone more than five rounds with e-commerce, Stefan knows more than a thing or two about the space. I particularly liked his final comment: “Nothing is static online. We are constantly redesigning elements of our sites and using data collected via Google analytics and physical user tests to improve work flow.”

Here’s someone who gets that online isn’t just about ‘fix and forget’ – it’s about ongoing tweaking and reviewing, which takes time and focus.
