Businesses need to treat their VIP’s better. For example, if you’re having a big sale you let your most loyal customers in early. It does make a difference and it has this glow that can last for another three to six months.
I talked to someone about why they should treat their VIPs differently, especially in an email lesson. I saw that this email here on the AdLeaks website, so AdLeaks, you know Tim Bird says he’s managed $100 million US or something, of Facebook spend. But I was more than interested, you can imagine, when I saw a couple of articles about email marketing success on here. But this was about just a very simple six-step sequence that basically gained 40K for this business over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period. So it’s pretty interesting, right? Like basically, build the hype. So building the hype is… And I’ll put a link to this in here, right? So that you guys can read it yourself. But sending out some emails. So build the hype, email your priority list and VIPs, launch early for VIPs, launch to general customers, send reminders, close the sale.
I mean, we’re all doing this, right? We’re all doing different parts of this. But the key here, when you read this, is about emailing your priority list, letting people know early. Because what it does is it gives people a sense of specialness, you could say, where it’s like, “I signed up for your list and I get to do this. I get to hear about things before anyone else.”
Now that generally, 99% of the time, doesn’t happen. Because you just email the whole list. But I think if you actually do it for certain times of the year, and I say you probably only need to do it once or twice a year, but you actually… Like if you’re having a big sale you let these guys in early, it does make a difference and it has this glow that can last for three to six months with opening all your emails.
So have a read of this, I think it’s really useful. But the idea of… Prehype is just a couple of emails and that, but the email exclusive out to the VIPs is really interesting, right? Basically they got a little bit of an extra deal potentially. They’re normal people, right? Who are just coming to the website. So that’s the thing, right? The differentiating between people who just come to your website, and people who are on your list and spending money with you.
