Don’t Slam on the Brakes

You’re speeding.

I’m not slowing down.

There’s a difference.

Some people hammer it between obstacles and then slam on the brakes when a corner comes up.

Bang! The car lurches forward and is off balance as it enters the corner.

This made me think about people doing the same in Life. Every time there’s a challenge, they panic, slow down and lurch through the problem.

But I’ve noticed something.

The people who carry speed through the corners, the ones who stay smooth, they’re the ones who make rapid progress. They’re not reacting to the road. They’re reading it by looking further ahead.

It’s the same in racing.

The smooth driver, the one who doesn’t overreact, will beat the late braker every time. Or get run off the track by them.

So here’s the question:

Are you panicking at every corner?

Or are you reading the road or confidently rolling through?

Think about that as you drive today.

Smooth wins, and your passengers will thank you for it.
