Did You Bring In The Ship?

20260303 - Did You Bring In The Ship?

One day, your life will be reduced to a few lines.

An epitaph.
A summary.
A sentence someone else uses to explain who you were.

What will it say?

Up to this point, how would you describe your life – fulfilled or unfulfilled?

Your work and your life are intertwined. How you feel about yourself shapes what you do. And what you do shapes how you feel about yourself. It’s a loop.

Sooner or later, you head down one of two roads:

  • The road of fulfilment.
  • The road of mediocrity.

The storms are irrelevant. Everyone has storms, and the storms always pass.
The question isn’t what hit you.

The question is:

Did you bring in the ship?

Did you get the result?
Did you use your talents?
Did you contribute?
Did you turn potential into something real?

Life doesn’t reward intention. It responds to contribution.

Make your life worthwhile. Not just an existence.
Mediocrity carries no weight. It leaves no mark.

To bring in the ship requires energy.
Passion!
Purpose!

Not only to succeed for yourself, but to use your abilities to help others succeed as well.

That is the difference between drifting and arriving.

This Week’s Motivator

Bring the ship in.

Handle one problem at a time.
Stay self-assured.
Be confident in who you are and what you do.
When things go wrong, breathe, smile and adjust.

Results matter. Contribution matters.
Your life is measured in what you bring safely to shore.

Prompt for the Week

If my life were summed up today, what would it say, and what must I do this week to make sure I’m bringing in the ship?
