In this week’s MondayMotivator

  • This year is for jumpers who are willing to work for what they want and make their own decisions.
  • We are living in an exciting time with amazing advancements in technology, medicine, and communication.
  • To achieve your dreams, set goals, take immediate action, and focus on possibilities rather than weaknesses.

There are always times of the year when people find it difficult to get back into action in their jobs or businesses. A reader once emailed us and said: “I’m struggling with motivation. I spent the last 5 days lying on the couch watching TV. And that’s a lot of laying around for me. Although, I did manage to fall into the bath. Aside from that, I was completely unproductive and lethargic. There is a list of things I want to do: go to the gym, and catch up on gardening. But I can’t seem to find the motivation to do anything. I’m barely dragging myself out of the house once a week for a coffee fix, let alone get back to work.”

That’s extreme and it was tongue in cheek but the main message was they had lost their motivation. The thing is this can happen to all of us. It can happen when we lose hope. And, hope for your future depends on the path you choose.

One of the strongest characteristics you can have is the ability to make it happen, to make your own decisions. You can choose to get up and jump up or opt for the leather chair. If you were to say those words fast they almost sound like LETHARGY!

Now, this is an exciting time in history and your future will depend on the choices you make right now.

Those who choose to be achievers, opt for a willingness to work for what they want because they believe that the world does not owe them a living – that their future is a matter of choice.

If you think about we have the ability to learn anything and communicate with anybody through the air. The air! The ability to communicate with others on the other side of the world through a mobile phone via satellite stations thousands of miles above the earth’s surface still amazes me.

Side note: In the 1980’s no one had heard of the Internet. By the year 2000, there were 300 million users worldwide and as of January 2023, Statisa.com says there are 5.16 billion internet users worldwide. Which is 64.4 percent of the global population. Wow!

So, putting aside the option overload we have, what do you want to happen?

The potential is enormous. Your potential is incredible.

Decide NOW to be a winner this year.

Decide to be greedy while others are fearful as Warren Buffet would say. Don’t hold yourself back. You need to be a savage. There are a lot of soft people out there these days and someone with a goal and the will and the way to get there has a massive chance of making it happen.

Remember, YOU must make it happen. There is no easy secret to this. You must JUMP at each opportunity. You may ask, “How can I tell when my opportunity or the right opportunity comes?” Sometimes you can’t. You just keep jumping.

If your dream is not significantly important enough, more important than other people’s opinions then it is never going to happen. You may as well stay in bed until all the traffic lights are on green.

There are two actions you need to take to make things happen for you:

  1. Set Goals on paper. Once you have confirmed this in your mind starts to find ways to bring it to life.
  2. Take immediate action. Write out an action list broken into 3-4 steps you can take immediately. Do them!

Now, look forward with great anticipation and never look back unless that is the way you want to go.

Ignore the critic within you. Quiet that voice that finds some negative aspect to it or some fault or weakness any time you come across a good idea or an opportunity that could really change your life.

Turn the impossible or the challenges in your life into probabilities by looking for the possibilities.

This year is for JUMPERS.
