In this weeks, MondayMotivator,
- Steady, continuous effort is key for progress in life.
- Consistent persistence outperforms sporadic attempts.
- Emulate the mountaineer: steady climb, unwavering commitment.
You will progress in life more rapidly by making a steady but continuous effort like a flowing river that constantly moves forward silently on its way.
Making spasmodic efforts is not as effective. You only gain momentum if you continuously and persistently keep on keeping on.
The mountaineer knows that they will surely reach the top with every step and every little effort. They don’t just leap to the top or rush up the mountain. For this would be foolhardy. They would use up all their energy too quickly and have no reserve for their final effort.
Neither would they stop at each level for a week’s break or rest and then continue. They had a purpose before they started on the climb and were committed to achieving their goal, so they steadily but surely kept climbing.
Be firm in your purpose and where you are going. Make your journey orderly and persistent, like the movement of the stars. Or the rise and fall of the tides.
To be more consistent with your efforts, think: I will not hold back on my journeys in life or make spasmodic attempts as I go forward. I will be persistent, make a steady effort and gain momentum to reach my various destinations or goals.
