Spike have one client who sends up to six emails for some campaigns they run. Each email generates revenue and the frequency is based on the fact humans are great procrastinators and need a few reminders, and a deadline, to make a decision. Unsubscribe rates are very low for such campaigns and upping your frequency is definitely worth thinking about for your next promotion.
