You’ve probably started the year off thinking about resolutions you could make that will change your life. Yay for you!
The problem is that while you want to change your life you never seem to have the time, money, energy or inclination. It’s just too hard!
Those are the most common excuses we tell ourselves to continue being comfortable and not put in the effort needed to change.
Change is hard.
Change requires a revolution in your mind and your habits and then the discipline to stick with it until the change you want is your new state. Then you get comfortable again.
In the book, How to Live by Derek Sivers these lines stood out to me.
“Don’t aim to be just comfortable.
You don’t make the world a better place by just getting by.”
“The world needs more boldness.”
“Success in business comes from helping people – bringing the most happiness to the most people.
The best marketing is being considerate.
The best sales approach is listening.”
To make this year the best year of your life you are going to have to be a revolutionary of your own mind. Be bold. Aim higher than comfortable and listen and help a lot more people than you did last year.
I’m rooting for you.
