I watched the movie The Butterfly Effect on the weekend. It was a great example of how going back in time, and tinkering around, could cause chaos in the present.
It got me thinking about “What if?”. What if I could go into the past what would I change? What if I could change go to the future and get the winning Lotto numbers?
These what if’s brought even more questions to mind. What if the person who won Lotto that week was going to do amazing things with the money and couldn’t because I had won it …. you can see where I’m going with this. The what if’s could go on and on.
However, where it got me to was a place where I thought about how thoughts have energy. And that energy moves outwards like ripples on a pond. The ripples keep moving and creating things as they go.
That’s interesting. That’s powerful. Your ‘What if’s” could actually become something.
Rabindranath Tagore said, “I have become my own version of an optimist. If I can’t make it through one door, I’ll go through another door – or I’ll make a door. Something terrific will come no matter how dark the present.”
What if we could make our own door from wherever we are?
In my opinion we belittle “What if’s”. We shouldn’t because they get you thinking. They get your mind exploring things and events that might or might not take place. It’s your choice.
Write a list of What if’s today. Do it now if you have a minute. Look at them. Your goals are in that list. Your hopes and dreams too. Take the ones that really resonate with you and think about how they will be created.
It’s an interesting exercise and you will be the better for it. Share your What if’s on Facebook if your game. Be great to read them.
Have a great week.
