YourMondayMotivator: Pssst. It’s March. That’s right March …

“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” Steve Jobs
Although Abraham Lincoln said, “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”
Steve was a deep thinker. A man who had to control everything, every detail, like his life depended on it. Maybe it did.
Abraham Lincoln said, “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”
Abraham Lincoln - YourMondayMotivator: Pssst. It's March. That's right March ...
Another deep thinker and a man who would have made a lot happen by March. That’s right, it’s March. The weather might have tricked you into thinking we were still on holiday %%First Name%%. But a good dose of rain will put paid to that and we will have shorter days and longer nights to contemplate our next steps.
As I write this I’ve realised I have banged on about the year to date and the struggle to find someone to do anything with. That’s ended now but last week I realised the year is now heading quickly towards it’s inevitable end – New Years Eve.
Very quickly in fact. I’m wondering does it have something to do with having a baby. Or maybe I’m older. Or in more of a hurry than I have been to make something happen.
So, you’ve read this far and are waiting for the punchline. What does this have to do with my Monday, my week, my year Glenn?
I could say that it’s up to you. What thoughts does reading this bring up for you? Have you made a note of them? Will they move you forward?
What I am going to say is take a note of what both Jobs and Lincoln said. Take the time to look at yourself closely in the mirror at least once a week. Look straight into your eyes and question yourself. You might be surprised at both the answers and the person looking back at you.
