YourMondayMotivator: New beginnings and Easter.

This morning I was thinking about Easter and what I was going to write for the MondayMotivator. The phrase ‘new beginnings’ popped into my head.

The question I asked myself was: “Is Easter about new beginnings?”

Someone once wrote, “Easter is not a time for groping through dusty, musty tomes or tombs to disprove spontaneous generation or even to prove life eternal. It is a day to fan the ashes of dead hope, a day to banish doubts and seek the slopes where the sun is rising, to revel in the faith which transports us out of ourselves and the dead past into the vast and inviting unknown.”

Maybe more than any other time of the year Easter gives us the time to ‘fan the ashes of dead hope’ and start again.

In New Zealand we have a four day weekend to celebrate Easter and it’s a holiday that seems to exist without the stress of present buying, family feuds and even for some the sense of loneliness that can come at Christmas time. It is a holiday where we can enjoy the reason without the pressure.

So I think it is a good time to start again. A good time to make a new beginning, eat chocolate and plan future success while you’re in a great frame of mind

Have a great week.
