YourMondayMotivator: Barbie Dolls and Mountain Buggy’s

Last week we found out we are having a baby girl. As I sat there after being told I realised I had had no idea what we were going to have and had no preference. Baby health ok, check. It’s a girl, woohoo!

I have heard many stories about guys wanting boys and showing their disappointment when they first heard it was a girl. Let me tell you, woman remember that moment. I have heard the stories and guys unless you say sorry or acknowledge you were a dumbass in that moment your wife will be holding a grudge.

My point this morning is we don’t always get what we want. The Stones sang it best and if you’re like me you’ve just got the song stuck in your head.

So that’s why I always aim really high out of my comfort zone. Because even if I don’t get what I want I am going to get something very cool. In fact while I might not get exactly what I want I will end up with an outcome even better than I thought possible.

Aiming high pushes you to look outside yourself, seek knowledge and ask for help. It helps everyone around you by showing them what is possible.

We need more people thinking, “If he can do it, I can do it to.” This week work on your big goal. Research what you need to achieve it, ask for help if you need it and get going. Take note what happens around you when you do. People are always looking to back a winner and that winner will be you.
