Today’s minimotivator #52-2010: Stretching

Bill Tyler wrote, “Whether you are an individual, a sports team, or an organization of any kind, there is truly only one way to grow, and that is to stretch.”

Stretching yourself is taking small or large risks that like lifting weights, or yoga, cause little tears in the fabric of your life, or muscles.

These little tears leave spaces that have to be filled. They are filled then with experience that causes you to grow and become stronger. The more you stretch the more you grow. It’s that simple.

Start stretching today. For example: saying hello to a stranger at the coffee shop is a small risk. But it will stretch you and make it easier next time.
