I had a conversation with Alba recently where she asked me if she could give her friends Spike notebooks.
I have cool little notebooks that are the perfect size for a pocket and taking quick notes while you’re out and about.
“Why?” I asked.
“So my friends can have them and we can draw on them and write notes. And if their parents see them they might say, Oh I could use Spike and give you a call.”
That’s pure marketing gold right there.
At 8 years Alba understands perfectly the idea of how to spread your brand through channels you wouldn’t normally associate with your business.
So two things from that conversation. Awesome proud dad moment as my daughter displays a knack for getting what she wants, her friends to have notebooks, by selling me on the benefits of having them in her friends home – their parents will read them and ask what Spike is.
And a marketing tactic of having someone subtly sell your brand for you to your target market.
P.S. I’ve spent the last year working with author and Psychology Coach Charles Donoghue on a program that I believe will change your life permanently. Find out about this exciting and new program at foundationprogram.co.nz.
