Never judge someone without knowing the whole story.

never judge - Never judge someone without knowing the whole story.

Good morning,

You might remember we have a government in New Zealand and as usual, the one that is in power is being judged harshly in some quarters. I don’t pay any attention to the news these days but it always seems to get to me and it’s always bad 🙁

There’s a story I like to pull out at times like this and it illustrates perfectly we shouldn’t judge others before we know the whole story. As the greatest President of the United States once said about the South, “they are just what we would be in their situation.”

Judge yourself, not others. Always.

The Story: A State of Affairs

A bus stops and two guys get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation. The lady sitting behind them ignores them at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of the men say the following:

“Emma come first. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more. Two asses, they come together again. I come again and pee twice. Then I come one lasta time.”

“You foul-mouthed swine,” retorted the lady indignantly. “In this country we don’t talk about our sex lives in public!”

“Hey, coola down lady,” said the man. “Who talkin’ abouta sexa?” I’m a justa tellin’ my frienda how to spella Mississippi.

Have a terrific week, and remember before you pass judgement, they might just be learning how to spell Mississippi.

Best Regards,

Glenn Edley

Quote for the week

“Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.”
