How is your sense of humour right now?
It would be understandable if you said it was somewhat lacking at the moment with the unstable state of the world.
However, I read somewhere that children laugh around 40 times a day and adults about four. Four times a day?!
Developing a sense of humour about life’s challenges is a great place to start. A sense of humour will help you to build resilience to stress as well as improve your overall physical and emotional health.
A sense of humour helps to smooth the path on the way to your success.
A sense of humour makes you likeable and more attractive.
A sense of humour can help you to overcome challenges by rising above them and seeking the course of action that will put you back on the path to success.
A great way to keep you in good humour is to count your blessings. The fact is, you are blessed every day with little things you take for granted. Like the fact you are breathing right now as you read this. The fact that you CAN read. That you get up this morning and have a job to go to, and the list goes on.
There is always someone worse off than you and counting your blessings won’t fail to put a smile on your face.
Remember we’re all in this together and there’s lots of helpful advice out there. So please ask for help when you need it and maintain your sense of humour.
Have a terrific week, tell someone a joke and laugh!
P.S. I’ve spent the last year working with author and Psychology Coach Charles Donoghue on a program that I believe will change your life permanently. Find out about this exciting and new program at foundationprogram.co.nz.
